We are looking for an experienced leader to drive User Experience (UX) excellence into all the products SAP makes for its customers. Global Design Engagement team's designers will engage deeply with various product groups to understand their product intent and customer needs it is addressing to provide guidance and leadership back to the product groups. You will engage in UX reviews, which include interaction design, user validation, visual design and key problem & solution identification. The team will track design trends, technologies and best practices and bring them into the organization as meaningfully as possible. The team will also help maintain product continuity across all SAP lines of business. The team will also have a third party resources available to teams when design resource support is required. In order to make sure that we are solving the right problems, Design Thinking approaches will be applied in close collaboration during all engagements.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Your primary responsibilities will include collaboration with interaction designers & product owners to define, execute, deliver, & measure on a product experience
- Define, refine & evangelize user experience solutions across all SAP products
- Identify reusable user experience design patterns & IP
- Your work will span across devices, bringing the user experience to life; your innovative ideas and designs will be invaluable here. As a contributing member of our design team, you will also be in a position to influence the user experience for SAP's products.
- Though you will spend the most of your time defining product experience appropriate to a global audience
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years user experience with large-scale rich internet applications and web site projects, as well as consumer mobile applications
- 3+ years successfully defining, evangelizing, and delivering large scale user experience strategies which have had measurable impact
- Experience producing concepts in Axure/ Sketch / Photoshop/ Illustrator
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate positions, and advocate designs
- Extensive experience delivering presentations to an executive level audience
- Experience working with development and product owners to redefine prior existing products
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
- An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates a varied range of work & vibrant creativity with a strong consumer orientation
- Able to turn concepts into concrete visuals quickly, and then rapidly iterate those sketches into polished final designs
- Deep understanding of user interface and interaction design
- Proven success working on concept, interface and visual designs, actively collaborating within a cross-functional team
- Up-to-the-minute knowledge of interaction and design trends in mobile, web, wearables, and motion design Preferred skills
- Conversational abilities in both English & German
- Previous experience working on solutions in supply chain, finance, sales, marketing, or commerce
- Hands on experience with CSS, JavaScript and HTML
- Excellent visual design skills and an outstanding portfolio of interactive projects
- Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goal
