The Instructional Designer will be responsible for the design (content and concept) of innovative training programs - suitable for different target groups (Employees in corporate functions, shared delivery and GCO Finance). The position´s focus is to create blended learning experiences and a collaborative and self-driven learning environment in which employees enjoy enhancing their capabilities and behaviours to achieve personal and professional success.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Help to establish a culture of continuous learning within the CFO board area.
- Develop engaging and exciting learning content for a variety of learning delivery methods (self-paced, instructor-lead, train-the-trainer, e-Learning, etc.), e.g. based on reference materials and in collaboration with various Subject Matter Experts.
- Support the change management activities to establish a new learning culture in the CFO board area
- Work on instructional design projects for functional and behavioral learning for international audiences, based on a robust needs analysis and prioritization, within the given budget and time.
- Consult with executives on a learning process or architecture to achieve business impact.
- Identify learning and performance objectives and design scalable enablement activities.
- Develop facilitator guides and evaluation strategies, as well as validate quantitative and qualitative assessments for enablement programs.
- Interpret evaluation data and suggest improvements to programs based on the feedback.
- Conduct train-the-trainer sessions
- Act as a trainer in live courses (as needed).
- Pro-actively interact with external and internal key players (e.g. other corporate universities) and key stakeholders (e.g. HR, LoB-Manager)
- Passion for creating unique and innovative learning experiences
WORK EXPERIENCE
4 years plus working experience in a Corporate University, HR or a Training & Education department, ideally gained while working for several large enterprises
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
- Diploma, Master or higher Degree
- Experience in developing educational concepts for complex enablement programs in numerous formats (classroom trainings, remote learning (e.g. via Adobe connect) and E-Learning) and role-based curricula
- Demonstrated ability to develop detailed lesson plans, storyboards and scripts
- Experience in working with a learning management system
- Ability to develop and implement a variety of instructional techniques, including case studies, examples, videos and audience participation
- Proficiency in learning evaluation (e.g. by using the Kirkpatrick model)
- Ability to constantly make iterations and improvements to existing training materials
- Ability to efficiently adapt training materials to reflect changes and updates (new business needs, strategy changes, policies etc.)
- Strong experiences in working and consulting with managers on all hierarchy levels with regards to learning programs, learning asset creation, etc.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments successfully
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
- Strong networking skills to collaborate with participants, subject matter experts and stakeholders across the company
- Talent to motivate individuals beyond her/his direct field of control Preferred skills
- Experience in cultural change projects would be considered as very beneficial!
- Experience in change management/organizational development projects would be a plus as well
- Knowledge of Finance topics due to respective working experience or related field of studies
- Proficiency in learning design tools (Articulate, Captivate, Flash, SoundForge, Workforce Performance Builder)
- Ability to lead a project team from the concept phase to the final deliverables.
- Experience in designing and working with innovative learning modalities (gaming, m-learning, podcasting)
