Within the CLM Cloud Management area, the Service Provider Engineering team is providing the central management platform and related tool and automation content development for efficiently operating the different SAP Cloud solutions of the different SAP Cloud delivery units such as the SAP Managed Cloud Delivery, S4Hana but also the SAP Software as a Service Cloud/SFSF or HCP. The team drives the design, implementation and "productization" of the required lifecycle management tool and automation content development throughout the solution lifecycle, such as initial system/solution provisioning, solution monitoring, software maintenance, incident management, change management but also advanced business continuity services in the area of high availability and disaster recovery. The team works in an agile mode closely with our end-users and stakeholders to provide the most efficient operations support and easy to use functionality. We are in close alignment with different product groups to bring SAPs product innovations to the cloud. We provide state of the art processes and use modern technologies like HANA and HTML5. It is targeted to establish a small agile verification team, which drives the outbound qualification in a "customer like" environment and takes over the feature release management to the (internal) customers.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for a quality specialist to support our development teams in the following areas:
- Setup and execution of E2E Integration tests of software/ automation content in complex technical scenarios, i.p. in the area of system/solution provisioning and software change
- Operations of a "customer like" verification lab that allows agile "on request" verification of new feature / change impact analysis of already shipped features
- Release Management of "verified" features based on the outbound qualification results and roll-out of new features to stakeholders - incl. required documentation demand
- Drive efficient feedback cycle and continuous improvement processes with the customer based on the feature/ service delivery.
- Work closely with the other Cloud Management and Software Logistics development teams globally
- Be first contact for question and issues for delivered innovations. Solve technical complex problems by performing Root Cause Analysis and provide pre-analyzed and -classified issues to the SPE development teams for issue resolution.
WORK EXPERIENCE
2+ years' work experience preferably related in the outlined skill and competences
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills:
- Affinity for and/ or technical expertise in system administration and management (i.p. Linux SUSE, Windows, Hana DB, SAP Application Stack) is a must. Additional expertise in infrastructure related topics is a plus.
- Expertise in test management setup and execution is beneficial.
- Fluent in German as well as very good knowledge of the English language. Preferred skills
- Expertise in Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. SAP Landscape Virtualization Manager and SAP SL toolbox) and/or its embedded scenarios (e.g. system copy, HSR, etc.) are beneficial.
- Programming knowledge (preferable ABAP, Perl, object oriented programming skills) is a plus
- Expertise in the cloud/ hosting business ideally verified by previous employments and/ or project work is beneficial.
- Good analytical skills combined with the willingness to work on complex topics and drive its realization in an efficient way.
