At SAP you get your chance to put your ideas into action with maximum impact.We are looking for a student to support the daily administrative activities of the IT Infrastructure (IS) Customer Engagement Management Team, which consists of around 14 colleagues and belongs to SAP's Products & Innovation organization. An international team based mainly in Germany and the US, we are responsible for customer engagement across all SAP Lines of Business (LoB) for all infrastructure elements of the IT IS Service Portfolio to deliver stable and excellent operations. We ensure that all SAP LoB's have a clear view of the end-to-end capabilities of the SAP IT IS organization in order to put corporate and LoB strategies into effect, and thus support SAP's growth.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a thesis student (bachelor or master), you will support our Financial Excellence initiative and project with identification, definition and description of a use case for an IT cost allocation model. Specifically, you will be expected to:
- Research, analyze and consolidate content of the existing SAP IT cost allocation model
- Research, analyze and consolidate possible IT cost allocation models in general
- Define basic theoretical principles for possible new allocation model for SAP in consideration e.g. legal and controlling aspects
- Assess the impact and the efforts of implementation
- Perform validation in regards to concept / architecture / technology within SAP
- Prepare a decision matrix with a solution proposal
- Introduce implementation options (eventually simulation)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Your application should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form (in English and German), school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Student at a university or university of applied sciences
- Preferred fields of study: Business Informatics, Business Administration, Business Information Technology, Industrial Engineer or Applied Computer Science
- Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- Good knowledge of both English and German is essential
- Innovative as well as analytical thinking, openness to new trends
- Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team as well as independentlyStart as soon as possible, preferred duration 6 months
